Anisha Thomas (she/her) is a multi award-winning Australian composer, music producer, pianist, businesswoman and global keynote speaker based in Sydney and LA. With a career spanning over 10 years in the entertainment industry, Anisha has over 40 international film/tv composer credits, some of which have been featured on ABC Australia, Channel 9 Australia, CBC Canada, Amazon Prime (US and Australia) and Apple TV (worldwide) or have qualified for Academy Awards.
Her branded/advertising campaigns composer credits also include working with clients such as Amazon Web Services and Apple. Anisha’s work in the tech industry focuses on XR/Spatial Computing, web3 and gaming, composing music for these immersive platforms.
To further her advocacy for greater diversity and inclusivity in the entertainment and tech industry, Anisha founded and also runs Sound-how, a company that serves as a platform for women, gender diverse, minority and marginalized individuals to provide their sound and music production services and expertise through classes and educational programs. In 2020 she won the WIFT Australia Award for Best Australian Female Creative for her contributions to film music and advocacy of women, gender diverse, minorities and marginalized individuals in music and sound.
As a global keynote speaker and educator, Anisha shares her experiences and expertise as a minority composer and the founder of Sound-how through talks, seminars, and masterclasses in the tech and entertainment sectors. She has also guest lectured at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music (University of Sydney) and worked with non-profit organizations such as Bus Stop Films and Diversity Arts Australia.

“I’m a strong believer in being in tune with myself. Music is a spiritual experience for me just as much as it is a career one! My compositional process has me often meditating before I get to work.
