CASE STUDY - A professional musician wanting to build stronger composition and arrangement techniques
John mete - clarinetist, royal Australian Navy Band.
John Mete, a professional musician who was part of the Royal Australian Navy Band, approached us wanting to further develop his skills in composing and arranging.
John had several sketches of ideas, but was unable to develop these into full and completed arrangements. Working with Anisha, John developed his sketches into larger orchestral arrangements, as well as developing his own compositional voice, style and confidence!
John Mete sessions that were tailored to his needs. These covered:
Reviewing and Analysing his current works and ideas.
Problem solving where and why he would get a ‘creative block’ while composing.
Compositional techniques such as form and structure, orchestration and arrangement.
Providing guidance and assistance that enabled him to develop his ideas into full orchestral works.
The sessions were designed to nurture both craft and mindset, leaving John with a sustainable composing practice that continues to grow, even after finishing his sessions with us!
““I approached Anisha as I wanted to hone composing skills and interests. I had some ideas in the works, but needed some guidance on how to grow these into full works. I am grateful for the sessions, where I could learn more and build greater confidence in the composing process. I would highly recommend the coaching program for anyone who needs assistance and lessons in composing and reaching their goals.””
